Birth control postpartum

In search of best option for birth control, I’m almost 5 weeks postpartum and I’m looking for insights on the best option. I’m breast feeding and I don’t want that to be affected. I also have PCOS and when I get cysts they’re huge and painful so that’s the main reason I want to be on birth control again because when I was I wasn’t getting huge cysts.

my go to birth control is the implant, nexplanon! you have it put in, it last 3 years at a time, it’s painless, and has never ever failed me! i will always recommend the implant to anyone who will listen lol. that’s not to say you won’t have side effects, because everyone is different, so though it was best for me may not be best for you but it’s worth a try! Xx

I was on Mirena while breastfeeding my first. I was on the mini pill while breastfeeding my second.

I have the Depo injection once every 3 months. It messed up my cycle for about six months but had no problem since, if you’d still like to keep your periods I don’t recommend having it as it does stop them in most cases ( it has mine) but I wasn’t to bothered as always suffered badly so it’s nice now I don’t have them (personal choice). I can’t give advice on breastfeeding as mine were bottle fed. The doctor should go through them all with you on yours and babies 6 week check ❤️❤️
