Transition to own room

Tonight is my babies first night in their own room. How did everyone feel on the first night? My anxiety is through the roof more than normal and I feel so sad! I’ve found myself just crying at the fact they’ve grown so fast and now are in their own room

We transitioned three nights ago and beforehand I was the same. I’ve loved having her beside me, watching her sleep and waking up next to her, and cried the first night she moved at the realisation I’m never going to have that again. I actually found it surprisingly fine though - she seems to love having the extra room a big cot provides vs a next to me and had woken less, plus it’s nice not moaning at my husband for making the slightest sound in bed incase he wakes her - he’d often sleep in a different room because I’d get so irritated at him rolling over in bed/ snoring etc, so it’s quite nice having him back in the same bed. I watch the baby monitor far too much but I like seeing she’s happily sleeping and doing fine on her own. So far it’s much better, and easier, than I thought. Hope it’s goes well forf

This is my first night too! I feel you Mama- sending positive sleep vibes. A bitter sweet moment for me 🥺

I was really anxious too but it was the best thing we did. He sleeps a lot better and has more space and we don’t need to tiptoe around and risk waking him up all the time when we go to bed. It all goes so fast !

We did this the weekend before our baby girl turned 6 months and it was a GAME CHANGER 😍 the night before she was up every hour near enough in the next to me but only woke up once in her cot the first night 🥳 now she sleeps through and has done for a week 🤯

We started with naps in his own room in his cot.. we did this for ages! I just didn't wanna let him go!! Finally did it and its been great! I cried myself to sleep the first few nights but quickly got over it! Love being able to watch TV in bed now!
