Birth control

Hey guys! I have endometriosis and a 9 month old. I'm not remembering to take the pill, so I'm going to my OBGYN tomorrow to talk about my options. If anyone has some experience with different types of Progestin-only birth control. I feel like it's important that I'm not using it for pregnancy prevention necessarily. My periods are excruciating, and I refuse to be on narcotics for menstrual pain, I think an implant is where I'm going to have to go 😬 I'd love to hear your experiences with it, I'll post an update if y'all want after I get home tomorrow

I had a Mirena IUD for 10 years and am getting a new one inserted in a week (7 months pp). They're progesterone only. An unfortunate side effect can be spotting for about 6 months, but then you have it in for 8 years and most women lose their periods entirely. Strongly recommend!!

I had a mirena iud, no issues with it, I did however have a very regular period with it. I also took depo-provera shots, with it I had no period, however I did gain weight while on it. No other issues and I was on it for 5 years.

I’d love an update! Im pretty sure I have endometriosis and considering the kyleena iud but I haven’t been brave enough yet. I’ve never taken birth control but my periods just keep getting worse

***Update! I talked to the NP at my OBGYN office, and we discussed my options. I have a consultation for an ablation scheduled with the doctor. There is (to my understanding) a sizable possibility that I will be unable to conceive after that. But at this time, I do not want to go through 6 months of HG, literally starving to death very slowly, getting IV fluids to survive, and puking every time I move (6+ times a day)
