If you’ve not eaten ie done your urine dip early in the morning. Also dehydration. - protein Some women also have leukocytes present in the urine because of being pregnant in general or even from a common cold Xx (Sorry for the edits)
I have! No symptoms what so ever but giving me antibiotics to be on the safe side! But I do have GD XX
I had leukocytes at my last midwife appointment but no symptoms. They were going to send away the sample to test for uti and contact me if it was positive. I've had no call a week and a half later so hopefully that means it's negative
I have this and was diagnosed with Group B Strep. On antibiotics for a week and waiting to hear if it’s cleared next week! Also if you have protein + leukocytes in your urine it’s quite normal (discharge etc) but if it’s accompanied by high blood pressure, other symptoms, issues down there etc.. then it’s more cause for concern. My Strep B was probably only picked up on because they sent my sample off after finding the above in there x
Leukocytes can be an indicator of a UTI but doesn’t mean that it is. Typically you’d also see positive nitrates too, but its worth getting it sent off to the lab to double check. Trace protein can be normal in pregnancy, higher than that can be a sign of pre eclampsia so depends on how much. If I were you I’d try and get a doctors appointment tomorrow and take a sample in for them to test
I had this last weekend, protein and leukocytes but I feel fine. They sent it off and told me it showed "mixed growth" which could be a contaminated sample so I've sent a new one off. Dehydration is the most common cause of protein and leukocytes in the urine, especially if you're feeling fine and your BP is Ok..
I’ve had leukocytes in my urine every single time I’ve been to see the midwife! But because I’ve got no symptoms of a UTI they don’t bother sending it off x
I have this but then they said they won’t treat me for a UTI as I don’t have the symptoms and it was left at that never mentioned again x
