They didnt take my blood pressure at mine (FTM just had our scan!). Ask to know the percentile for size. We got 34th but I know people who got 4th and have two healthy kids. Ask the gender if you want it or tell them if you don't. And just ask them to narrate what they are checking, I found that fascinating enough! For us, the ultrasound tech does the scan and would tell you if there is anything crazy but the images go to a doctor for final interpretation or if more detailed scans are used of an area. His report is then sent to our midwife so we meet with them tomorrow to get the official report. I wanted to know they have both kidneys. She did a cool thing where she can turn the blood blue or red based on the direction of flow (oxygenated vs unoxygenated). That the bowels are connected and continuous. Location of the placenta. That they have lenses in their eyeballs. Mostly just horror stories I heard from the Internet or distant friends/friends of friends.
Our ultrasound tech was great though and between her bits of info and my curious mind conversation never stopped flowing. I loved it, great appointment
