Hey! How old is your little one? Have you tried pace feeding your baby to see if that helps with the reflux? I also combo feed - breastfeeding and formula. I made the switch to Kendamil and it was a game changer. My son is able to handle it a lot better.
Bobbie Kendamil Pace feeding Are you burping between ounces? Make sure he sits up higher than his stomach while feeding and after. Burping again after the feed
@Kaitlyn that’s the one he is currently taking and it makes his vomit looks like mucus
@Hannah Becerra thank you I will try
@Catherine he is 2 months old I’ve tried everything he holds a lot of gas it’s so difficult for him to burp but he does after a little while and then the gas comes out the other way but very difficult
@Tamesha yes I am
Earth’s best sensitivity and you can mix with just a little bit of baby cereal so helps them get full. My daughter used to breastfeed and formula.
What color is the mucus? Sometimes the mix of breast milk and formula can come out more mucus looking as long as it’s not green. How much is he eating? How much is he throwing up? Ounces? It’s normal for newborns to be gassy. He’s still new and learning his body. Just to clarify You said he’s throwing up, Is he throwing up like it’s coming out with force or spitting up like easy flow from mouth? Do you think he’s burping and some formula/breastmilk is coming with? Or he finishes the feed and then pretty quickly after he vomits most of it? Just trying to get clear pic
@Tamesha the vomit that it comes out like mucus it’s white he is eating 2 ounces every 2-3 hours he literally throws back all the formula he just drank and he is throwing up like easy flow and probably like I said it’s very hard to get gasses out he just burps once and that’s it after that he just throws up and he finish the feed and right after he vomits most of it
How’s he doing? Are his stool mucous looking as well? Has he ever not thrown up a feed? Are you on dairy or caffeine free? Sounds like he’s having trouble digesting the cows milk protein which is normal. How does he act without the added formula? If you can see how he does with Bobbie gentle it’s at Target. Pyloric Stenosis have his pediatrician recommended he see a GI specialist to rule this out.
I wonder if he needs a sensitive formula? The Enfamil Gentlease is a good one! We personally have been using the Costco brand one which is like similac so since your LO doesn’t like similac, maybe not try that one.
