I am booked In to be tested for gestational diabetes and I’m wondering how long it takes and what they will do at the appointment

I am currently three weeks and four days pregnant. I am waiting for my first appointment feeling lots of anxiety about seeing the heartbeat and hoping that there is a heartbeat. What did you ladies do to pass the time and to ease the anxiety?

They said we can do it after 10 weeks and I’m 10 weeks today… I’ll wait until Friday. This is where they test for Down syndrome and also you can learn the gender.

So this is my second pregnancy and it doesn’t matter if I’m doing something or being lazy but it’s so hard to breathe anymore. It feels like I have so much pressure pushing into my lungs. Any ideas? With my first I never had this issue so I have no idea what to do.

Need some advice, the top of my stomach has been rock solid for weeks now and I noticed earlier it feels quite jelly like. I’m 32 weeks and when I feel my belly it’s only hard where the baby clearly is, other places feel squidgy. I’ve only noticed this from today. Is there any reason why this might be?

Does anyone else have severely itchy breasts? Like to the point I will scratch until I cut myself. Has anyone taken the sneak peak gender blood test at a clinic? If so were your results accurate? Pregnant with my second now and really want to do it but I’ve heard some people get false boy results if their first was a boy and that is my case. Just wanted opinions and experiences before I spent the money on the test!

Oh my goodness it’s like a switch has been flicked - my usually fairly calm baby has become super super fussy, lots of crying, stressed feeding etc and only calm if she’s asleep or in the carrier, otherwise she’s cross! Anyone else going through this?
