Hi, I’m in a flying start area and will be going back to work in January. Does anyone know any info about the free childcare hours please? I haven’t a clue and my health visitor never gets back to me
Morning, How are mums with babies in nursery’s managing to do the drop offs? The one we have looked at is 7.45 and I can’t find any local that are earlier? Thank you
Any single mums on here that work either full time or part time? How do you manage everything like school and work ? I’m changing my job to try and have more of a routine but even the hours will be 9-5 so I keep having the dilemma of needing to sort childcare from school until I finish work! 😩 can’t help but feel…
Morning all Just starting to think ahead and wondering if anyone has a solution? ! My LO is due to start nursery at the end of Jan but both my partner and I have to be at work before the nursery opens. Is there such a thing as a childminder who will do the nursery drop offs but on a more flexible schedule, that ...
Realistically how long would it take for a 2-year-old to settle in a new nursery? I know every child is different. But I'm wondering how many days my toddler would be back at home due to unsettlement or sickness type of issues in the first weeks/months so I can arrange a back up childcare. What do you do in those da...
I'm just curious what other moms would expect to pay or be paid. If you drop your 4 year old, who is still potty training off, with a packed lunch, at a family members' house daily, how much are you paying them per hour? If you agreed to watch your niece or nephew daily for 2-8 hours, Monday- Friday, what's the...
How much are you getting from your baby's fathers a week or month to support your baby? Wondering what a normal amount would be- I know it varies depending on income etc but wondering if some of you don't mind sharing what you're receiving if anything thanks 🙏
How do you do it? I plan ok going back, but I also want to try for a 2nd baby in the next 6-10 months too. Do you go part-time, husband helps more? Daycare?? Gimmie the deets Thank you ladies!!
Anyone else staggered by the cost of nursery? Even with funding and only there 3 days a week it's £804 this month. I know it's more than September because one week is half term so no funding but still it's extortionate! No wonder the birth rate is falling! Dreading the 6 week summer holidays with no funding.
How much are your nursery fees for a one year old? How many days a week do they go in? Thanks
I can’t get childcare for a uni open day (it’s the uni I’m applying for as my main choice). Would I be able to take my baby? Or should I just not go? Also what types of things happen at open days, what can I expect in general?
My daughter started nursery a few weeks ago, only doing 3 mornings a week. The first week went really badly and she cried the whole time she was there, so they asked us to come for the sessions with her instead to help her settle. We’ve been doing that for the last 2 weeks… but what is the next step for helping her...
I start work October 13th and I need to try and find childcare, I have a babysitter for right now.. but it’s only temporary until I can get childcare
Hi My husband and I are on universal credit and we have a 2 year old who is currently eligible for 15 hours free childcare per week. My husband has received a job offer of 27k today (We live in London). Do we lose 15 hour free childcare? (I have not found a job yet).
When is everyone setting the nursery ready? Buying furnitures etc
How long did it take for those who have applied to get the nursery funded hours code?
We are moving to Houlton from London , and looking for Childcare for our spirited 2.5 year old. Does anybody have any recommendations?
My baby is starting nursery in Jan when he will be almost 13 months old. I’m wondering what I will need to do or prepare beforehand?
How do we apply when it’s time for the 3 year funding for nursery/pre school?!
I am considering a childminder over nursery but I am a little skeptical. How do they really manage to care efficiently for multiple children at once (the childminder)? 🙈
