Having some quality alone time, like being able to go to the gym or take a long bath. The other is helping with prep like bottles
Agree with @Emily - meal prep is a game changer for me. For myself and for bubs once they are on solids.
Come home when you say you’ll be home and try to fit your extracurriculars like going to the gym or the shops etc into your work day as much as possible. My partner would come home at the end of the day and then say “do you mind if I go to the gym?” and leave for another hour and a half and while I totally appreciated the importance of exercise for his physical and mental health, it took all of my stamina to get through to five pm and that extra little bit of freedom he got (and I didn’t) when I was expecting to start sharing the load KILLED me!
I would have appreciated if he’d made me lunch when he made his for work. Sometime, when baby was being particularly fussy, it would get to 3pm and I wouldn’t have had chance to make myself any food
