PFL

Does anyone know if I need to stay employed to take my paid family leave or if I’m able to quit my job and then take PFL? I was planning to leave anyway and want to take my PFL while looking for something else.

Take PFL, look while on leave, give notice at the end or upon your return

Hey! From what I know, you cannot quit and then get maternity leave. You must be employed. If you quit then it falls in the category of UI - unemployment insurance

However you do get one month before your due date off. And if you have complications before then your doctor can write a note on why you can’t do your job anymore and need to be on disability

And make sure you don’t quit till after your entire maternity leave plus all your PTO and Sick leave have been used.

I too just want to quit now to take ME time before the little one, but unfortunately from what I know you can’t
