Speak to your hr team, every company is different, mine is 1 month for example
It generally depends if you got just smp or whether your company contribute and pay extra. If it’s just smp then you don’t have to pay it back and can leave whenever as they just claim it from the government anyway. However if you had enhanced maternity pay then you’d have to check the company policy as mine wanted me to return for 12m so i opted to just take smp as I knew I wasn’t returning
Definitely varies between company policies - I just left post maternity (not for another job) and even though I got enhanced pay I didn’t have to pay anything back.
You only need to pay back any enhanced pay, so if you’ve only received smp you won’t need to pay anything back or return to work. Just need to ensure you give the right amount of notice.
Every organisation has a different policy on this. In mine it’s twelve weeks.
