Help please

So my bub is turning 9months tomorrow and am looking to get back to work in November. Please dont judge, am really not sure what I am looking for. So I want to send him to nursery for 2days a week but not sure where to look for. Everyone says, I can claim for free 15 or 30 hours. Firstly, where are they getting this info from? As I looked into this and they say "only if you are eligible" Secondly, if I can apply for free 15 or 30hours, how do I do that please. Thirdly, is it 15hours or 30hours?

I haven't done it so someone else might be more helpful but this seems pretty clear. https://www.gov.uk/apply-free-childcare-if-youre-working It says 15 hours until they're 2 and it says to set up an account to apply. They also should have a bit that says if you're eligible

You would need to make sure you have a nursery place first, November is just around the corner and many settings have a waiting list, so may want to secure that as a priority. 15h if you’re eligible, using the link posted above. But you can’t claim those funded hours until January, as your baby is only turning 9mo tomorrow and you become eligible the term after they turn 9mo. It’s supposedly then going to increase to 30h funded, from September 2025. You may be eligible for tax free childcare in the meantime to help with costs.

Also you might be eligible for the 85percent help through uc x

To get The 15 free hours for this term your bab needs to be 9m on the 31st of aug. My boy is the 6th of dec so we’ve missed the cut off and won’t be able to get the free hours till January

The “if you’re eligible” means that you (and your partner if you have one) have to be earning the equivalent of 16 hours at minimum wage a week, but neither of you earning more than £100,000 adjusted net income per year.
