When does everyone else calculate ovulation after your peak

So once you get your peak you can ovulate from 12hrs all the way up to 72hrs later!! So that could be later that day to 3 days later! I usually just class the next day as “ovulation” day and count my dpo’s from there, but if you actually ovulated 3days later and then also can conceive 24 hours after that that throws the dpo’s off massively and then you could be testing at what you think is 9dpo but is actually 5 or something! So anyway when do you all count from after your peak?

That’s Interesting to think about actually x

My exact question lol

I count it the day after because truly we would never know. Try to pay attention to your symptoms and CM and that will help you to have a more accurate estimate of ovulation day

I count from day after the app says ovulation

@Paige I used to as well but from using opks I usually ovulate a week later than the apps say

I usually just keep testing till I see my levels drop off and use that! I had 83 LH on Friday afternoon and just 30 the next morning so I assumed the ovulation happened in the midnight zone!

@Megan unfortunately that’s not how it works, your LH will drop regardless it won’t stay high until you ovulate it just peaks 12-72hours before possible ovulation, so tricky!

Rats, okay, thanks for the knowledge! Sorry for my silly mistake—this was my first cycle using the strips 😣😣 I appreciate the knowledge!

I don't think you can ovulate as late as up to 3 days later.

@Brianna sorry to jump on! But when you say keep an eye on CM, do you class ovulation from the day you get CM? I had it for around 2/3 days this month so would you say your ovulating from that first day you get it?

@ML26x you produce cervical mucus the entire fertile window but when it becomes white and creamy (egg white texture) that’s when you’re ovulating. In the beginning of the window you may notice it’s more of a slimy and clear texture. Try googling “cervical mucus during fertile window” so you’ll get a better understanding ❤️ the appearance changes throughout the fertile window

Very helpful! Thank you

Ah Thankyou so much!🥰
