Snap ebt eligible pregnancy test?

I’m four months pp currently not working, and on birth control but feel like I’m pregnant, I plan on getting a job soon but I have a couple dollars but the only two places close enough for me to get to are cvs and target, and cvs is way too expensive I was looking on target to get the look at prices and I saw snap ebt eligible? Does this mean I could use my ebt to buy a test? I’ve tried to look it up but couldn’t find anything

Why do you feel that you are pregnant? The fact that you are only 4 months pp and on birth control makes me think it’s highly unlikely. If you truly think you are a dollar store test should be fine.

No, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) cannot be used to buy birth control or other medicines. SNAP benefits can only be used to purchase most groceries, plants, and seeds to grow food. This is from their website. Maybe the sign you saw is talking about some of the food items in their store.

Planned parenthood may have free tests.

There's no dollar store near you?

@Karma great point!!!

Alot of places do free gregnancy tests with ultrasounds just google search pregnancy help or free pregnancy testing near me also if you have medicaid they should pay for transportation/ give gas money for any medical needs

@lauren because after you give birth you become very fertile, your fertility rates are very high, and sometimes birth control may not work so it is possible but you never know

@Sheek i get all my tests (besides my first baby $$) from the dollar store. I was naive back then and thought I needed the best of the best $28 dollar test in order for it to be accurate haha

@Maryam birth control is super effective (like 98-99%) when taken correctly, unless there is user error…just because you were pregnant, doesn’t mean it will be any less effective….I ask because a lot of women think they are pregnant when they are just about to have their period.

@Karma girl me too! I was buying them in bulk at the dollar tree. They all test the same hormone. I was just mad at myself for forgetting about it.

@Sheek that’s what I was thinking it just showed it directly under a few select items so I was like huh that’s weird

Also those asking why I think this, I’ve been exhausted, feeling very sick, using the bathroom a lot more, and my boobs have been hurting so much, I’ve been just saying it has to be the birth control making me feel this way especially since I’ve been spotting/potential period for the last month, but my mind keeps telling me I need to take a pregnancy test because I’ve been feeling like I have been when I was pregnant with my son, even this morning the taste of my toothpaste turned my stomach so bad I was nauseous all day afterwards. We just moved and where we live, there are a few places in walking distance but everywhere else is a 30-1 hour away in the car so I would have to find someone give me a ride, I currently live with my mother, I know if I ask my mother for a ride she’ll want to come in with me and watch me and know exactly what I’m getting and then I’ll never hear the end of it and the entire family will know instantly no matter what the results are

Also I read on my birth control that 4 in every 100 women still get pregnant on it even when taken correctly, so that had me thinking so much because when anything says well it only happens to 9% percent of people, I’m usually always in the 9%

Could you order it on Amazon?

Have you missed a period yet? If not, I would wait as those symptoms are all also side effects of the pill and pms symptoms. I would order some cheapies from Amazon otherwise wait until you can get to a dollar store as the probability is SUPER low. Coming from someone who has been pregnant 3 times this year (miscarried first 2) and had to actively track ovulation, obsessed over every symptom and noticed absolutely no difference…I also had spotting prior to my periods while on birth control. If you have been spotting off and on for days now it’s likely not implantation bleeding and just a wonky period coming on.

@lauren I had an implant in my arm and got pregnant after I had my son so yes it's very possible to get pregnant on birth control. It's not always user error

Snap ebt can have food funds and cash funds. Maybe call the store and see. My mom got help with food and cash funds, so the food funds only worked for groceries, and the cash funds can be used to buy anything.

I think you can get them for free at planned parenthood or other similar clinics?

@Emily that was my first thought but all the clinics are 40 minutes to 1 hour away from me in a car

@Arianna Preciado this so helpful, thank youu for telling me this

@lauren I’m honestly hoping it would be negative, because my son is only 4 months old and me and his father just went long distance at the end of august, I just worry extra because I have a condition in pregnancy called an incomplete cervix where if I am pregnant my body can’t support a baby and my cervix opens super early so I have to get a procedure to keep it shut, so the thought just scares me as we just moved and I don’t have insurance and my son does, I know it’s very very unlikely as I’m on birth control and I’ve been spotting for like a month, like I truly believe it’s my period but I’ve been feeling how I felt while pregnant with my son so I’ve been second guessing myself, I’m just hoping doing a test would give me some peace of mind
