Hello! HR here (please don’t hate me, I’m actually potentially quite helpful!). 👋🏻 You’re totally entitled and within your rights to request reasonable adjustments to your working pattern when pregnant, including where you work. If you could reasonably do your work either in a hybrid manner or fully remote, make the request. I’d recommend copying your HR rep in when you ask your manager - as you’re pregnant you have more rights to request this, and it should really be honoured unless it’s impossible to do so :)
I made the WFH request when i retuened to work after 1st mat leave. And had to remind new HR of this when they questioned my 1 day a week thing I am thinking about going fully remote soon too- my reason being my floor doesn’thave a toilet and going up n down stairs with pelvic girdle pain is not going to work for me (i work in a converted victorian town house building so no lift etc). My work should be fine with that- they havent yet got strict with office 3days a week requirements
If you can successfully do you job from home, then why not WFH. I would. X
