Going back to work? Thoughts on Preschool

I am trying to decide when is the right time to go back to work. My son could start preschool next year, but I am not sure what the right thing to do is. My husband wants me to continue to stay home and not send my son to preschool. I also watch my nephew who is only one so if I were to go back to work it would probably need to be part time or I would have to stop watching him.

What is the reason for going back to work if your husband wants you to stay home? Do you want to go back to work? Do you want to send him to preschool?

@Rachel Sometimes I do miss work and having like my own thing, money has been tighter then we have been used to which I think is putting stress on my husband, part of me wants to send him to preschool because in my experience it is good for kids, but my husband is confident that I could do preschool at home. Also the preschool I am looking at is 8k a year so I would probably need to work to offset that cost. I am also nervous that if I stay out of work for too long I'll have trouble finding a job.

I just withdrew my prek student today from our local school. Not sure your believes about children and how they behave but my child was already learning cussing , s*x and teachers not watching them on the playground and not documenting black eyes, open wounds , ect and he sat at her table and she never knew. It was ridiculous. I only sent him for the social interaction as my husband wanted that. He is at home learning with me now. They dont need all that at 4 , in MY Opinion. 7 am-230 pm gone all day and absolutely exhausted. He has been catching up on sleep past week and a half from school break and has already improved so much. Maybe thats just my school though.

@Lauren we were only planning to send him half day 3-4 days a week as that is what is offered at a local private preschool. I don't disagree that all day is such a long time for a little to be at school
