Maternity Stat Pay
Hey! Is anyone just on basic statutory pay ? I would be keen to understand if anything else can be claimed alongside it and how much. Thanks

Depends if you live with a partner who works and how much money you have if any in your savings. If you look online you can fill out a benefit calculator and it will let you know x
Yes we did a benefit calculator online to work out what we could and couldn’t claim for. We were only eligible to claim child benefit out of all options in addition to maternity pay

Hiya It depends on your circumstances. I am on basic maternity allowance which is £184 a week and also get child benefit which is £102 a month. That’s it. Unless your employer offers more. I still get commission and car allowance but if you don’t normally get these then you won’t be owed this. If you are on a low income you may be able to apply for a grant I believe it’s £500 to help buy things. But otherwise it’s rough out here on basic maternity pay
