MATERNITY ALLOWANCE HELP
Hi,
Can anyone explain this to me please?
My maternity allowance claim started on the 18/1/24 and I’ve been receiving the highest rate you can get which is £184 something a week.
My final payment was today and I’ve only been payed £499.51 but I can’t for the life of me work out why?
Is the final maternity allowance payment always less??
Just feeling stressed as I wasn’t expecting it and UC have worked out that I’m getting £734.10??
Do I also have to ring up to tell UC that I’m no longer getting MA?

So I had full pay from my job for 9 months then I got the standard £800 for 3 months :) on my last month now so I’m only getting half this month but I’m lucky to have 35 days of A/L + bank holidays to use before I go back to work in January :)
Yes contact UC because MA is deducted £ for £. If you claimed half way through the month and you’ve received the whole lot of MA throughout the period you’ve been claiming you’ve probably only received half a month because you claimed half way through a month x

Hi, what I found is that my maternity stat pay started half way through month nine because my full pay stopped. It meant that the third month was only half pay- does that make sense?
