I hear you on the same boat. But every is a scam

My aunt makes sandwiches for her coworkers. Charges $10 a lunch. She's Filipino and can make traditional food so she's started offering catering for friends. The words gotten out and she's getting more inquiries while she's a medical office assistant full time with an 8 and 6 year old. Got any food you can make? Help out other moms?

What area are you in? Different places have different rules on cottage meals or selling home cooked items or catering. Cleaning is a possibility in areas where people tend to have more money. Harder to do while pregnant but I know a lot of moms who do it for extra side cash and the schedule flexibility. Driving for Uber eats/Postmates/Uber in cities too allows this. I know some people who were making $4k+ a month driving for Uber and working when they had free time. They lived outside of but near a big city.

I live in Miami but everything is competitive and I would love to do Instacart but I don’t have a license 🤦🏻‍♀️ I wanted to try selling something as a vendors since Miami has a lot of markets but don’t have money for the supplies

Uber drivers could make good money in Miami. Especially if you speak English picking people up at the airport. Uber charges additional airport pickup and drop off fees. I think there’s also financing for cars for using for Uber. How is your credit. You really should get your license if you can. It helps a lot having a kid too. I had two or three Ubers cancel on me the last time I was in Miami because my Spanish wasn’t good enough so they couldn’t find me at the airport and canceled the trip. So they obviously were doing fine to have multiple turn down customers/money.

Instacart is also good because you can take your kid with you and there are no restrictions for the car besides that everything is legal. Just get the cheapest functional vehicle you can or drive someone else’s. I think they let you use a bike or other modes of transportation too. I know Postmates does so you don’t need a car for delivering food and people usually tip.

If money is that tight I’d suggest postmates to start. Surely someone has a bike you can borrow. Then work your way up to a car or moped.

@Jessica can I message you for more info

@Renee thanks. I will def get my license asap

Of course!

Since you’re in Miami dog walking and dog sitting is available too on rover or just seeing people walk their dogs who look overwhelmed. My dog walker in NYC was making six figures a year in cash and when I first moved to a big city I did rover and had clients right away first day. You just take their test on how to properly harness and you put the radius to around your area so it’s worth it time wise. Usually starts at about $20 an hour and walking is good for you now and postpartum. Good luck! :)
