You should add a birth fund in your baby registry and see if your community can chip in. Have you tried getting Medicaid and finding a home birth midwife or birth center that take Medicaid?
@✨Wis 🇭🇹 OK I didn't know you could add a birth fund.I'm not sure how to do that.I've never meet a baby registrate before I don't really have any friends or family. So I didn't think I needed to make one I don't know anyone who would chip in How do I make one with a birth fund? And any ideas on how to share it?
@Anna I know on Amazon when you make a registry you have the option to add a fund for whatever you want. If that’s not an option, you best bet would be to obtain Medicaid outside of any employment you have or anyone you’re connected to. Some hospitals have people that can help you get it for the sake of pregnancy and you’ll be able to look for a birth center that will take your insurance
There might be other birth center options covered. Look into those. Maybe find a private doula or midwife. Unfortunately, in your situation, I would honestly try to save as much money for baby and the needs such as diapers, wipes, clothes, etc. Also, if you do give birth at the hospital, have your birth plan. Ask for calm voices, low lights (even bring your own string lights to avoid overhead fluorescents), your own play list, etc. Have it all written out with what you want. Emphasize a calming environment
