Possible miscarriage

Hi everyone. I'm in a very difficult situation. Recently after moving to a foreign country, I found out that I was pregnant. Unfortunately the papers took long, so I still don't have medical insurance to be able to see a doctor. One week ago (around 5 weeks pregnant) I have had some strange cramps around my back and abdomen, but not painfully, laid down for a bit, 5 minutes later went to the bathroom and the bright red blood just burts down. After that, I only had very dark brown spotting , some days only when I wipe. Minimal abdominal cramps for one day and then nothing. Does it sound like a miscarriage? I'm very confused and angry inside that I don't know what's going on. I hope that next will we will be able to see a doctor and have a scan. Thank you in advance.

Hi Natalie, I’m very sorry to hear about this. Had you tested positive for pregnancy/had symptoms/missed period? Where abouts are you living? I’m sure there should be a way of accessing help, regardless of not having medical insurance? Again, so sorry you’re going through this xxxxx

Yes tested positive after the missed period, took another test the day after the bleeding and it came up straight away as very positive. But from what I under7stand the hc

I'm so sorry Natalie that sounds like a tough situation. I'm not a medical doctor, so definitely get confirmation when you can. There is a chance it could be a subchorionic hemorrhage (which means there is still hope for your little one to make it, this happened with my first pregnancy and little Sarah is almost 2 now and happy and healthy). Unfortunately there is also a chance it could be a miscarriage, I just went through this a week ago and am still bleeding and cramping. Are you still experiencing pregnancy symptoms? That is a good sign if you are!

The hcg stays hight quite few weeks so I cannot know for sure. The insurance situation will be sorted out soon so hopefully in 2 days I will be able to see a doctor. But just worried of what's going on. It was a blessing to become pregnant after fighting infertility, so it's very heartbreaking 💔 😢. Thank you for your support 😊.

@Carin I stil have tender breats , especially in the morning and started developing some nausea, but its not even near the morning sickness I had with my first baby. I understand that there is a very high chance that this was a miscarriage and I had a week to process it and possibly accept it, but its hard not knowing it for a fact.

@Natalie keep us posted, I wish you the best!! 💕

The not knowing is so tough, im so sorry. At 5 weeks, you probably wouldnt be able to see much on a scan anyway, so as long as the bleeding is controlled, im sure here in ireland theyd just send you home. I had a missed miscarriage completed last month and i still felt pregnant for a while after, but once i stopped bleeding, the hcg went down and the symptoms were gone. If you are too anxious you could keep testing your hcg to see if theres a difference in the lines or even try to buy a pregnancy termination test - they only test hcg above 2000. This is me just working the worst case scenario, it could still be just the subchorionic thing (i had that too). Hoping for all the best for you
