It was 5 for us, we got the flu and RSV one. It was bad and of course she cried during but she got over it so much faster than the 2 and 4 month shots. Like literally as soon as I picked her up she was fine. Just hope this can make you feel a little better about it!
I opted to not get RSV since it’s only been out about a year. But I got all the others and it’s just so awful to watch. I hope I’m doing the right thing!
Yes me! My baby has his 6 month shots in two days 😭 anytime he’s gotten shots. He’s been so upset and fussy for a while so I’m worried
@Elizabeth oh I’m so sorry
@Nancy it does!
@Lauryn I understand that logic!
@Elexys my daughter got her first cold after the 4 months and was so uncomfortable. We ended up needing a nebulizer. It might not have been related but it definitely still created a trauma memory for me! Any appointment she’s had after those shots, she freaks out just because she remembers where we are and what happened.
@Breauna probably unrelated as well but my baby boy ended up with Covid & pneumonia shortly after the 2 month shots as well 🥲not saying it’s because the shots but other than that I don’t really know how he got it.
You know you can talk with your provider & tell them to put your child on a schedule for shots in your own time frame. It’s not the Best thing to do,but they will work with you so it’s not sooo many pokes in one day. My son does 2 every appt since his 1st visit after we left hospital.
I always dread the appointments. A few weeks away from the 6 month one and it brings me so much anxiety 😥 we did the RSV one at his 4 month and he definitely cried a lot louder at that appt im hoping his next one isn’t so bad ❤️🩹😖
Don’t forget is your child and you can space shots out. Or even opt out of the ones you’re not comfortable with. Don’t be blind by the mídia and the pharmaceutical industry, they don’t want the best for us.
@Marina which ones did you opt out of
I opted out of them all only shot my son has received since birth was the vitamin k.
@Carey I really think I want to be done and not get anymore. The dr makes me feel so bad though just for not getting RSV and I’m not going to do Covid either.

@Lauryn the dr gave me a ton of why I needed to do it but I just stood my ground and said we aren’t doing them thanks but no thanks. I don’t feel like it’s a drs decision and we shouldn’t be pushed into something we aren’t comfortable with or not sure about when it comes to our child’s health.
@Carey you’re totally right! Thank you!
@Lauryn absolutely! We have to do what we feel is best for our child and we shouldn’t be bullied for doing that. And if drs don’t understand that there are a lot of drs out there that will.
It's not really 5 to 6 actual shots they combine some into one. It should still be one oral and 2 pokes, maybe 3. The babies cry because shots hurt. They don't know what's coming is a quick sting and then it's over. Their shots arent any more painful for them than for us. I got my flu shot with my older son and went first. Just to help show him it was OK. He's 3 so I can tell him what's happening and tell him it'll be OK and he obviously understands and can tell me what he is feeling. When he went He's eyes tiered up a bit but he didn't cry out. He just said oh that hurts mommy. But we (nurse and I) showed him the cool bandaid and she gave him a sticker. And he remembered they gave him a lollipop the last time we came and asked if he could have one. He did great and he leg was fine and didn't hurt within mins.
@Elexys Lord have mercy!
@Breauna my little one got shots today, the same ones as 2 & 4 month but they offered rsv & flu shot as well (flu shot was just half a dose today and the other half in a month) but these seem to be harder on him than the others 😕even a warm bath didn’t seem to help so praying he’ll be feeling better tomorrow 🤎lots of love and cuddles for these days
My son just had the rsv and is still congested
