Nursery funding

I applied for nursery while I was still pregnant so didn't need the code. You need your start date when you apply and it has to be within a certain time frame and I can't remember what it is, I think it's 3 months but not 100% sure

I’m back at work and my sons already in nursery. I’ve just sorted mine so I done the code online and gave it into the nursery. I think you need to know when your returning to work as online it says for your child to get the funding in January you need to be back in work by 31 January or after that it will be the term after April

If you return to work within the next 30 days you get the code within a couple of minutes to a couple of days. However, if you apply now and you don’t know your return day you won’t get a code either 30 days before you start or you might have to reapply again closer to the time of you returning to work x

No, worry about securing a spot at a nursery first- you don’t need a code before you apply, they’re separate things. The deadline to get the funding for Jan is the end of December, assuming you’re returning to work soon, so you have time to apply when you know you’ve got a nursery place. You do have to put a date on the application for funding though, so you’ll need to have decided that when you apply. I applied outside the 30 days and got a temporary code to give to nursery, as they wanted it asap, and I’ll reconfirm my details in December to get the proper one.
