Yeah this is same as me!! I’ve just been trying to eat some fruit etc as found that sometimes it’s the texture or smell of food like mince etc. I’ve discovered I can stomach apples the most but other foods I’m still getting to grips with. It does go away a little bit as I’m not as bad with food anymore! Just try bits of what you can, a bit of trial and error x

@Amy the only thing that’s upsetting during this process is my body can’t physically take to chicken, and I used to live off chicken. Tried having a Chinese tonight, managed some rice as it seems to be light, but I’m struggling to stomach anything. My sense of smell has been soo bad during this week :/ Glad your not as bad now tho! Hopefully it gets easier! x

@Naomi chloe aww I’m feeling for you 😭 it is so tough in the beginning but you got this!! I was like that when I was roughly 7-10weeks but now just over 12, been managing better. Just eat what you can and stay hydrated!! You got this x

I’m nearly 9 weeks. I’m a big foodie normally but massively struggling with food. Can’t eat any ‘proper’ meals - so just having a snack every hour. Things I’ve found that I can just about stomach: - pancakes - ice lollies - toast - plain crackers with cream cheese - apples - raspberries - shop-bought sandwiches It’s sooo hard! I dread eating at the moment 😟

@Emily aww no! I feel for you! It’s amazing knowing your pregnant but I’ve heard the first every trimester in your first pregnancy is so hard I feel so exhausted and tired at the moment it’s not normal! On top of that I physically can’t eat anything and it’s making me panick, the one thing I could probably stomach is ham on toast! But it’s not a proper meal! Tbh I’m only 9 weeks 2 days and my diets been so bad, but how are we supposed to know how to manage the first trimester properly without seeing a midwife and having their support! Luckily I have my first midwife appointment in 2 weeks! I hope everything works okay for you! X

I’m living off of plain crackers, fruit (melon mostly!) and chocolate chip brioche 😂

I’m 10 weeks today but honestly week 9 has been the worst so far! It literally felt like I couldn’t stomach anything, felt physically exhausted, constant headaches and the nausea was the the worst it’s been. I felt like I had constant motion sickness. Week 9 is when HCG levels peak so is supposedly when everything’s at its worst. Placenta will start to take over soon so hoping things start to ease up! X

I’m really struggling too, I can only manage 2/3 bites of things, I started trying small healthy snacks throughout the day. Hoping by the time 2nd trimester comes it will have settled. I’ve heard it’s fairly common 7-12 weeks to be like this.

@Naomi bless you. It’s comforting to know that there’s many of us in the same boat. X

I used to eat loads of chicken and now I can’t eat it! I find it hard to eat sometimes. My midwife told me little and often can help. I can’t always finish a full meal now either. I’m 9 weeks. Xx

@Gemma this actually makes a lot of sense, never though of it like that, and completely forgot this is the week the placenta starts to take over! Hopefully I can find the right foods for me! X
