FET - what day of cycle generally?

Me too! I was told on CD10 I'll go in for a scan and if the dominant follicle is large enough to trigger that day, then ovulation will be 2 days after, and the FET will be 5 days after, so about CD17. However it will be adjusted accordingly if the follicle isn't large enough for trigger, so just 5 days after ovulation.

My FET ended up being cycle day 19! FET will happen about 3-5 days after ovulation to match the blasts growth to time when implantation would have “naturally” occurred. Typical range would be cycle day 17-21, but depends on how long your cycle is, when ovulation generally occurs for you in your cycle, etc. make sure your clinic monitors all of these factors and doesn’t just give you a generic date! My FET was also on cycle day 19 but this depends on when they do the retrieval and how the embryos develop I think

Thanks so much girls! My cycle is due to start on the 10th Dec so im worried they might make me start on the cycle after because of Christmas closures, i need to find out what days they are closed for transfers xx

@Caz transfer wise you should be okay, but I would be more worried about monitoring visits! Definitely check with your clinic. Some will be “closed” during the holidays, but have a provider and nurse come in for timely procedures like a transfer. The hours posted online won’t align with all of their availability for transfers, but mainly applies to initial consults and other procedures (SHG, hsg, etc)

Depends what type of FET you’re doing. Mine is natural with no trigger. So I had a scan day 10, day 12, day 15 and I’m due one day 18. My cycles are longer so I don’t have a dominant follicle at the right size yet. Due to ovulate day 19/20 and I’ll transfer 5 days after ovulation. So around day 24/25.

@Caz I would check, as I think you’ll get pushed back to the next cycle. My clinic are open for scans but are closed for transfers over Xmas. But each clinic can be different.

@Caz my next cycle should start anytime soon I think! I'm currently day 28 today, I tend to have longer cycles although I had 3 days of Letrozole (part of my FET protocol which got cancelled this cycle) which moved my ovulation a little earlier. Like what the others said, the clinic could be closed soon. My clinic told me to make it for this cycle my period needs to start by 28 November, if not, after 22 December. What is your FET protocol? Mine is 5 days of Letrozole and an Ovitrelle trigger.
