I got pregnant at 38 was taking folic acid, vitamin d omega 3 (I think) and coq10 daily and using ovulation tests.

I was 39 and took coq10. I also read something about omega 3 slowing down egg decline and since I haven't eaten fish in over 20 years I started taking high doses of that too.

Is he doing anything helpful? Do you know anything about his swimmers?

I got pregnant at 39 and gave birth at 40. I recommend all the above mentioned supplements, but most importantly, decrease stress. For me that meant putting on my running shoes as often as possible. Good luck!

Following for comments.

@Sarah not really heard of anything to look out for in terms of my husband bar making sure he eats well and drinks alcohol less, do you know of anything or any tests?

Thanks ladies, i think i need to add coq10 in then 💕

I got pregnant at 36, I just took prenatal, mainly Folic acid a month prior trying and reduced alcohol consumption. I had my egg count and got checked 3 years ago to make sure I have no blockages or issues too.

Try looking into theralogix theranatal vitamins. My doctor recommended I take them for my iui journey.

@Stace they can test his count and how well they "swim" I can't remember the medical term 🤣 there are dietary habits that can improve his side, and it can increase chances if he's completely abstaining for a while beforehand, I think they say 3 days? So if you are tracking your ovulation, you'd want him to totally abstain 4 days prior to your ovulation, then do the deed the evening before you ovulate (double check Google for numbers because I don't remember for sure how long on each) there's a specific time frame for how long they take to get up to the egg, you're most likely to conceive if they're up there already. There's even a book out there that goes into x sperm vs. y sperm swim time to better your chances of boy vs. girl 🤣 I've not read it nor tried those methods but one of my midwives swears it works for most who try it.

I was 37 with my first and 39 with my second. I ate a healthy diet (first pregnancy was living in China and had no processed food options) and took alot of supplements starting a year before we tried. Exercised a lot too. Best of luck!!

Thanks ladies!
