Yes, it's bad you didn't pass the 1 hr test they're going to have you take the 3 hr one next. Hopefully, you'll pass . Like the comment above, did you eat before? Or did they say not to eat anything. They tell me not to eat anything before I take the test.
Thanks for the addition, if I recall correctly they told me to stop eating at midnight the night before, which I did but unfortunately that was candy 😭
Google says normal range under 140
I have mine on Monday, google says 180-200 or less is where they want u at so u seem a little high but I wouldn’t worry, they will just want u to come back for 3 hr and hopefully u pass that one! Otherwise if it is gestational diabetes it’s not threatening to u or baby just changing diet and implementing some walking and they would want u to test sugar levels. Should go away after birth, u got this mama🩷
@Catherine well I did have a meal before taking the test. I had called previously and told them if it’s okay to take it since I just had ate cause if not I would of rescheduled and they said it was fine😭😬 you think I’d have to retake it ?
@Catherine I was not told anything so I did have a meal before taking it
Did you fast? Most places require you to fast or have a very light breakfast with minimal sugar.
@Caitlin thank you for the reassurance 🙏🏼❤️
@Natalie no they didn’t tell me to fast😒
Well, they will probably send you to the retake test, so ask them what they want you to do for the next one if you have to go. Hopefully you will pass with flying colours. If not they will guide you through it and after changing your diet a bit everything will be ok! Honestly this post refreshed my memory of the test and I have mine in 2 weeks and they haven’t told me anything either! Hoping good things for you! 🫶🏾
Mine told us we don't have to fast but they told me not to eat anything too sugary that morning.
I mean that’s looks very high to me. Did you happen to eat alot of sugar? With my last I got on the line so 139 (after knowingly stuffing my face with m&ms 🥴) and they made me come back for the 4 hour one to be safe. I took my second one and just ate normally and got well within the normal range. Very high without eating a lot of sugar could mean gestational diabetes, which is what the test is really looking for.
