newborn bills

Currently feeling overwhelmed by all the medical claims coming in for my baby. I have two hospital bills for myself (contractions stopped the first day I went in), a hospital and ER bill for my baby, and all the pediatrician appt bills since. I’m grateful for insurance cause it could be much more expensive, and I know children aren’t cheap, but I just wish I didn’t have to think about all this while on maternity leave. I want to do nothing but snuggle my baby all day but I’m worried about payments and getting things lowered. It feels like there’s a new bill every other day. And we can financially afford it but it’s still going to take a good chunk out of savings.

Talk to the hospital and see if they can work out a payment plan for you to make it more reasonable. They’ll work with you to make it less stressful!

I am right there, it cost 35k to just be in our hospital & yes thank God for insurance but 2100 is still money. Im going to see if my husbands insurance can lower it.

Same! I keep seeing the uninsured amounts for my son too because we had to add him to hubbys insurance then resubmit the billing. Stressful even when I know they will go lower. It also makes me laugh because some things are billed at insane levels. 200$ for an office visit where they weighed him asked me about 5 questions and told me I was doing a good job. 🤦‍♀️
