Not to me personally! But it happened to my best friend…. They wanted to do the procedure to abort it because supposedly it didn’t have a heart beat. They kept telling her she miscarried To find out it did have a heart beat when she made an appointment with another doctor Her baby is is perfectly healthy right now 5 years old

My SIL bled regularly during pregnancy. They told her on a Friday she was miscarrying at around half way through her pregnancy. When the did the final scan on Monday to double check, he was still in there; happy and healthy. He’s now 16yo

I had a twin pregnancy where I lost one baby and my survivor will be 2 in January. In one of the groups it's common for doctors to find only one baby when there's actually 2. Only real way to know you're actually miscarrying is to have your numbers checked. I'm sorry you're going through this. I'm here if you need to talk or just need someone to listen, it's not easy.

A friend had that but backwards No heart beat Doctor insisted baby was alive because it grew between the scans She then miscarried it naturally Doctors are idiots

Yes, it was during Covid and I had A LOT of bleeding around 10wks. Instead of coming into an office (I guess because of Covid) they had me go have my blood drawn to check my pregnancy hormones, my hormones dipped but were still high. 4 wks of this they scheduled a ultrasound to see why my levels were still high. We had the ultrasound and the technician was like excited and we were like “we don’t know if you know” but… then she was like look here’s your healthy baby about 6cm I think at that time, my partner and I were in literal shock. My Drs classified it as a certain hematoma, they said only one in their practice had experienced it before. If you ever want to talk I’m here. Never met anyone else who experienced this. I feel guilt talking about pregnancy loss with others, my SIL has been trying for years and keeps losing her pregnancy, I know so many wish and pray their diagnosis is wrong 😔 ** I now have a perfectly healthy 3yo.

@Amanda it was a SCH, subchorionic hematoma. I had one as well and it prevented baby b from properly attaching to the uterine wall.

@Stephanie yes that’s it, thank you. (I meant to Google it then edit my comment.)

@Stephanie I’m so sorry to hear you lost a twin 💕 I always wondered if that’s what happened, since I never had an ultrasound before the bleeding…

@Amanda thank you and there's a high possibility. I've learned that most of the time when a multiple is lost early on most doctors and ultrasound techs actually hide it. I had to fight to get an ultrasound image of both babies together. I was 8 weeks along but lost one at 6 weeks, still visible until 13 weeks

This happened to me just a couple of weeks ago! I am still very early in my pregnancy but around 4-5 weeks I had some light spotting so made an appt with dr. She basically just told me I was miscarrying and that it would get heavier in a few days and told me which hospital to go to when it happened. That did not happen so I went back the following week and had an ultrasound. Everything looked good but because I was still early we couldn’t see baby yet. She told me again that she didn’t think things were going well. I went for another scan a week later and we got to see a heartbeat which I was relieved about but she made me so worried that I still feel like something is going to go wrong. Never tried to find the cause of the spotting either and didn’t explain that it can be normal. Don’t believe that it’s happening unless you have data to back it up and confirm that the pregnancy is non viable!

Thank you everyone for the advice. I’m so confused by what my doctor told me. I began spotting last week. She told me i was miscarrying and the bleeding and cramps would get worse. Here i am a week later and it’s still just spotting. My hCG levels are rising but really slow and not at the normal rate they say it should. I’ve continued to have all the pregnancy symptoms as well. I did a repeat hCG blood test this morning so waiting for the results but my gut is just telling me something is off. How can she say I’m having a loss without doing any other tests or ultrasounds.

Only way to know for sure is to have an ultrasound. Don't count your baby as a loss until it's confirmed

Can you go to a different doctor? They also told my friend she miscarried because of the HCG levels but it all was inaccurate she was very much pregnant
