@Naomi I didn’t even think about the week indicator pregnancy tests. Thank you x
I had this happen! Literally after I stopped bleeding from the miscarriage, we started trying straight away and I fell pregnant. I got a clear blue test which says the weeks on, then I booked a private scan to get a rough date. Xx
I did, we had a miscarriage in Feb, and I am now 38 weeks pregnant and didn’t have a period between miscarriage and falling pregnant again x
I had a missed miscarriage in August 22 which needed medical intervention due to tissue which still remained after miscarrying…That was in the October 22.. i took the pregnancy test as advised a few weeks later (expecting it to come back negative) but it came back positive, I had a scan a week later and it was confirmed I was 5 weeks pregnant! My little rainbow is now 16 months old😊 I was the same with being so confused about dates because I couldn’t work out when I had the ‘period’ as I bled straight after the procedure I had and then got pregnant after it had stopped! X
Yes. I went to EPU and they scanned me and made a best estimate based on the dates of our loss and the surgery I’d had etc, and booked the 12w scan based on that. They told me whatever date I was given at that scan would be more accurate and that’s the date we’d go by. I think it changed by about 3 days.
@Chloe We aren’t allowed/can’t have contact with epu in my area unless referred by somebody else😅
I miscarried 15 oct last year, positive pregnancy test 2 nov. I would just continue testing in a few days to make sure the line got darker. We used my miscarriage date as the ‘date of my last period’ but after my 12 scan that change by a few days. Just take it day by day and be kind to yourself, it’s a very confusing time. But just to give you hope, I’m typing this while I’m feeding my 4 month old
@Christa I was referred by my midwife ☺️ So where I live you self refer to maternity services when you’re pregnant (not done via GP etc) and on the form where it asks for LMP I made a note about the circumstances and not being able to give a LMP, so she referred me straight away to EPU.
@Jen The best type of hope, congratulations on your beautiful rainbow baby❤️
@Christa feel free to message if you need to, pregnancy after miscarriage is a wonderful gift but also mentally challenging at times. All worth it of course
I got pregnant straight after a miscarriage. My little boy is now 8 months old 🥹 Just sign up to your local maternity hospital and they'll work out your dates (roughly) and get you booked in for a scan around 12 weeks x
U can buy the tests that have how many weeks. Xx
I had a scan at 7 weeks I payed for and they were able to tell me how many weeks and that so hopefully they’ll be able to figure out for u. Xxx
Fingers crossed for you a miscarriage is one of the hardest things to go through as a women I had a miscarriage 11 years ago without falling pregnant after I was told due to PCOS i wouldn’t have babies 11 years after the miscarriage I know have my 3week old rainbow baby xx
I have no personal experience but my friend had her 3rd after a miscarriage straight away with no cycle in between. She found the easiest thing to do was take a clear blue indicator that has the weeks on it and then when she thought she was around 8 weeks she booked a private scan to see if she could get a more accurate date x
