Thank you, that’s so helpful to know
I had this exact thing last year! Was 9 weeks pregnant and flew to new York for work with my manager. I didn't tell her because I'd had several miscarriages and was convinced it would happen again (I now have a beautiful six month old). The insurance will cover you either way. She did guess something was up because I wasn't out drinking in the evenings but also I didn't feel like I needed to tell her. I had bad nausea on the flight and felt very tired the whole week, some days harder than others, but i'm so glad I went before baby came and it was still a great experience for me!
Ah thanks Hattie, yeah I feel like not drinking will make it obvious for me too haha. Really helps to know others have done the same thing! And congrats on your 6 month old!
I traveled to LA from London very early in my pregnancy (4weeks). My biggest worry was the flight, but I followed advice, stayed very hydrated and wore DVT socks and everything was fine. Make sure you get up regularly on the flight to keep your circulation moving. I think do what feels best in terms of your manager - if you trust them and get on it might be nice to have the extra support especially if morning sickness makes an appearance. X
