Yesss. We’re at the point where we are certain it can’t be normal for our little boy to be catching something almost every week but apparently it is 🤷🏻♀️. I’ve been told that the first year is awful but it does get so much better once their immune systems build up. Hope you get all get a break from it soon!
Yes. Always a dreaded phone call from the nursery🤣
100% I worked in Early Years on the other side of it previously and it has still been a shock just how frequently he is unwell since starting nursery. Quite literally he has a weekly pattern, where there will be one day of wellness before a new illness is picked up the day when he goes back into nursery. It has been relentless. This week there was no gap and he got the next illness just carried on. I hope you feel better soon! I'm hanging onto the hope our nursery kiddies will have incredible immune systems by the time school rolls around and maybe we are getting it out of the way now... It's so hard with work and having to take time, I hope your work are good to you, it's super tough to manage xx
Week 12 of cough! Maybe 6th viral infection and 2nd lot of antibiotics
Yes. 😢 . Always. Sometimes even for a week
Constant days off 😫
Yes, this is us all the time
Yes it’s terrible. My husband is freelance so he picks up a lot but I had to call work twice and say I can’t come in because she got stomach bugs. I also had tonsillitis myself and two stomach bugs. Other than that I just go to work sick. My work doesn’t say anything but I know they’re not happy about last minute cancellations it makes it very stressful. I always say to anyone who says to me how impressed they were that I worked 9 months pregnant - that being pregnant is a relaxing holiday comparing to going back to work with toddler who gets sick all the time. I do understand why majority of mothers quit in the first year
Yeah I was off at least once a week. Found it really stressful and anxiety inducing!
Yes it happens all the time with me but luckily I can work from home. I’d say a few times a month I’ve got to leave work early and pick him up from nursery for a temperature or something viral. I think it’s just there age x
