Triggered too early?

Hello, just wondering if anyone has any experience or thoughts on this. I was asked to trigger on Saturday evening, although on Friday noon my largest follicle was 15mm, not quite near 18mm yet. My lining thickness was already 7.1mm that day. I am just concerned if I had been asked to trigger too early? I asked the doctor and she was not concerned. I think she said the lining was ready and the follicle could still grow. In case it makes a difference this is for a frozen embryo transfer, so not collecting eggs this cycle. Thanks!

If it’s for a frozen transfer then I’m pretty sure, the only thing they need to be concerned with is if the lining is a decent thickness which it is. The follicle size to trigger isn’t nothing to worry about, once that’s been released your body will produce progesterone but then you will also likely be on pessaries for that anyway in addition. I could be wrong but this is just what my thoughts are with it being a frozen transfer. I would trust your dr, they know what they are doing, good luck!

Thanks @RD for your comments, I think you're right. I just emailed the nurse and they said so long the lining thickness is fine, they can even trigger if the main follicle is at least 13mm, which is interesting to know. Yes I just started on the pessaries earlier.

If its a frozen transfer, they are concerned about the lining. They don't really put into consideration about follicle size due to the fact that they are transferring an embryo into your uterus so they just want to make sure the lining is perfect for baby to implant successfully. I wouldnt really worry about the follicle size as the lining is what matters for the transfer. Good luck!

Thanks Patrice! Good luck to you too :)

Thank you so much
