I believe HIPP is one of the closest to kendamil so maybe worth trying that. I'd say it's better switching to one you know you can easily
Unfortunately jendamil are only a small company and the demand for their products have sky rocketed. They can’t keep up with the demand of the products. I would switch brands. The issue should’ve been resolved by now according to the statement they released I. August and hasn’t so the stress will only get worse
There’s a Facebook page where mommas sell unopened kendamil and I saw alot of the one you’re talking about . Let me go and find it and post it in here for you x
Kendamil have put out a statement saying their produce will be being made more for the high demand and should be back in high demand now! I am able to get it in my local boots quite regularly, it will come back. I always find the smaller shops tend to have it like boots, instead of bigger supermarkets x
I’m having the same issue right now. Although not quite as bad as my son doesn’t actually need formula but I still like to give him one a day. I can’t even get the stage 3 and we don’t have much left! He has a fish allergy so I can’t even switch him brands. Very annoying! But hopefully Kendamil will be back soon x
To answer your question … if you can get the original Kendamil I would try that before moving to cow and gate comfort. The reason I say that is the fish oil in other formulas can trigger the colic/reflux symptoms x
@Vanessa that would be amazing if you could thank you! X
Thank you all! I really appreciate your messages! I have looked at the back of the Kendamil original lactose content and it’s double the amount, cow and gate comfort has 2grams more than Kendamil so I’m going to switch to cow & gate comfort as the lactose I think is what caused the colic/discomfort symptoms in the first place if I go back to Kendamil original I’m worried it will just completely upset her. I always manage to find a Kendamil original but the comfort is even more like gold dust!
@Chelsea ahhh I saw that it has fish oil in it! It’s crazy how they have completely different ingredients in them, I’m going to have to try the cow and gate comfort just because of the lactose content in the Kendamil original.. but if she doesn’t take well to the cow & gate comfort I’m just going straight back onto Kendamil, annoying really because the last thing I wanted to ever do was keep changing her milks I feel like giving the founder of Kendamil a punch in the face 🤣 x
@Kath I wanted to switch to this but I can’t find HIPP comfort in any of the shops it’s just as bad as Kendamil I think because it’s so similar 😅
My little one is 2.5 now and we had the same issue when she was around 8 months old. I done exactly what you had done due to colic in the early days and then felt so scared to go back when they didn't have the comfort version in stock for months. I did change to normal and she was fine after that, but she was out of the age that colic affects babies. We loved kendamil but this definitely put me off if we were to have another baby
There is a shortage of Kendamil everywhere and they don’t know how long it’s going to take to get it back on shelves. It’s best to go with milk that you can get that is always in stock so it might be worth changing over cow and gate comfort or even the normal cow and gate as you can always get that one in stock x
