A lot of jobs you won’t be able to - I know a lot of people including myself who prior to having a bub were WFH but now have either quit as they can’t make it work or have had to return to work and still use daycare even when working from home. Depending on what industry you’re in the zoom meetings are constant (microphone on, camera on) and productivity expectations are at an all time high. I’m sure there are some jobs out there that would work with this but unfortunately the majority don’t. Unless you find some sort of pyramid scheme (ie Avon etc)
@Daryl yes it's so expensive atm and it's not gunna improve anytime soon
@Meg cheers will do
I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant, full time WFH as I live remote from the office. There is no way I could WFH with kids, my child will be going to daycare.
I work from home for a specialist but my kids also attend day care 50% of the time. My manager is amazing and very understanding with the kids and if I need to pick them up early or have them home with me. I am extremely lucky and I guess it depends on the boss you get
It’s also incredibly hard to get WFH jobs now, since Covid is over it’s mostly hybrid work unless you have been grandfathered in like me.
@Daryl I know a lot of people who do door dash x just delivering food. If you’ve got someone to watch bub. I use to go out in nights once asleep and partner was home to bring in some extra money. If it’s something you’re interested in let me know. I have a $600 referral voucher for you
@Georgia ok thankyou
@Hayley what do you mean by grandfathered in
@Bec thankyou
@Hayley thanks
Get ready for all the MLM Huns wanting to inbox you about their "exciting opportunity" don't fall for it.. unless you were one if the very first people you generally don't make much money. Studies into it have actually shown women spend more than they make. They will sell it to you to make it sound amazing and will denyits MLM , but any of those mlm things are basically a scam.
@Laura what are MLM?
@Patricia I started working full time WFH during Covid, so my contract says full time WFH, they no longer offer this, they only offer hybrid.

Trusted by 5M+ women
@Hayley what is hybrid
@Patricia where you work like 2 days from home, 3 days in the office
As some who is WFH (4 days at home, 1 day in office) unless your children are in care majority of the time it is a massive struggle to work while caring for your children and most companies don't allow it. Please be aware, as someone above said about the MLM companies. These companies prey on people that want a side hustle or to work for themselves and you will get sucked in and lose more money then you make. Google any 'opportunities' put forward to you!
@Hayley oh ok cool
@Christine ok cool
@Tarlia thankyou for the advice
I WFH 2:3 Office; my kids are in school & with my MIL downstairs when I’m at home. During busy times there is no way I’d get my crap done, especially meetings & calls
@Teagan ok thanks
Almost all WFH jobs will not allow you to have children at home
@Naomi why is that?
@Patricia because it is distracting. With children home (unless someone else is caring for them) it's impossible to fully concentrate on your job.
@Tarlia thanks
@Patricia because it’s impossible to work properly with children at home. If you are home with children you’re looking after your children. If you working you should be working.
@Naomi ok
Omg agree would love to find a side hustle! Especially with the cost of living atm
