In the exact same boat. Secondary infertility is quite common, but less talked about. In my case it’s a result of my age and my physiology (I have fibroids and Andenomyosis that make it more difficult to conceive). The book “It Starts with an Egg” is a great resource if you want to try to optimize naturally.
It took a lot longer for us the second time. The thing that helped me was the ProoV mutihormone test. Because of my age I was worried about egg health and hormones and it tests like 5 hormones throughout your cycle. Turns out I was ovulating like 2 weeks after all the app told me I should be. We got pregnant the first month using the ProoV multi hormone tests!
Thank you for the comments I will look into these. I am 39 so not young anymore
Bless you. So it seems normal for your age. I’m 38 and we’ve been trying since march/April time. People say that’s not long but it feels a long time. I’m sorry it’s not happening for you but I do completely understand. Have you been to the docs? X
@LincsMum♥️ thank you, I have not been to the doctor as I feel they will say, you have one child, your too old and there is nothing we can do. I’m probably being silly though 🤦🏼♀️🙂
They might do some tests. Maybe have a time scale to work towards? It’s very disheartening tbh. I’m giving myself till my birthday in march if I’m not pregnant by then I’m giving up. X
The ProoV test will give you some insight in if your hormones are where they need to be and should tell you a little about egg health. But the doctor would be good as well. I did the ProoV multi hormone thing to see if there was an issue with my hormones before going to a doctor to get more tests or help. And ended up pregnant the first month.
Yup! 😏 how old are you? X
