How do you ladies work from home if you still have toddler at home with you?

I can see you’re in the U.K., no employer will allow you to wfh with a child/baby to look after too. Some employers may even require proof that your child is in paid childcare elsewhere. I work for a small private firm and wfh most days. When my daughter was around 2, with my boss’s permission I did try and wfh whilst looking after her - she was the most chill child ever, no tantrums, easygoing, happy etc and I STILL struggled as she always wanted to see what I was doing, always wanted me to play, sit on my lap etc. I felt like I was half assing being a parent and also an employee. It takes away your concentration so much. Soon as I put her in nursery and was able to focus with no distractions, it was a game changer.
That sounds amazing @Viviane Johnson you have the freedom to do what you want! @Neena Completly in the same boat! My little one is exactly like yours! She’s such a good child & in really lucky that way. I feel like we will both thrive if I start working and she goes into nursery but my heart is saying there’s no rush. So hard as the mum guilt eats up at you.
I wfh part time (20hours). It’s really tough because my 22mo wants me to engage with her at all times. So i end up working when she’s napping , and most often when she goes to bed. Sleep is non existent lol

@Farrah absolutely! I try to remember that this is a season in life… she’ll be in kindergarten before i know it and I’ll miss these day/6
