Blood results

Hi, I had my blood results and one of the results was Blood Group: B RH (D) positive. Can anyone tell me what this means, google has fried my brain

Your blood group is B+. This is just for the hospital to know incase you ever need a transfusion. Also means baby isn’t at risk of rhesus disease. (Applies to some mamas with negative blood types)

You will probably have to have the anti D i think it’s around the 28th week those that have neg at the end of their blood don’t have to have it UNLESS babies dad has positive.. me and my husband are both negative so I don’t have to have anti d x

@Kirsty is right - if you were B- and dad was B+ (or A+, O+, or AB+) you might need an injection if baby inherits dad’s blood type. But because you are B+ it doesn’t apply to you. ❤️

Thank you ladies, I read about the rhesus disease and was compeltly confused

It's normal blood type. I have O-negative when and hopefully soon when I get pregnant I will just need a shot I think it's before or after I deliver to due the antibodies.
