My 19mo only says like 5 words! 🤷‍♀️

My son is 20 months now he will be 2 on 4-3 but he says dawwy like daddy but da-wwy he says no he says nana and mmmm but he watches Mrs Rachel and has learned a lot from her

Yea mine is not saying much either.. he watches miss Rachel too, he completes the words to some songs. But he listens to verbal commands. He is 19 months and doesn’t go to daycare.. maybe daycare or socializing with other kids might help.. I was worried too but I’ll wait till he is 2. I was referred to a speech therapist too..

Should be combing 2 words (eg hi mama, more milk) and have about 50 words! If not I’d recommend reaching out to your states early intervention program. It’s free for 0-3! I’m a pediatric speech therapist- never hurts to get an evaluation!!

@Erica my sons birthday is on the same day ❤️

Looks like it’s Early On in MI! Would highly recommend to not “wait and see” as it’s harder to catch up the longer you wait, but they’re the perfect age right now and most likely would be short term services :) https://www.1800earlyon.org

We were concerned too and had him evaluated. He's at 9 months old for mouth/communication maturity, but on time for understanding communication and pointing. He'll start with the Early On program after Christmas

mines is 19 months he's able to say Hi, Hola, Anyeong. He puts two words together like eomma bye. He's learning Spanish, Korean, and English simultaneously though

My 20 month old only says few words too. But she seems to understand everything I’m saying to her. I’m not worried at all anymore. Every week she’s saying a bit more. All babies bloom at their own pace. There is so much out there to worry us moms!

@Jessica that’s wonderful first person I’ve spoke to where ours sons have the same birthday ❤️

My son says dadda, momma, dog, duck, I want, I do, no, open door, pillow, cuddle, bubba (pacifier), momo (remote), Elmo, nanna and popa, baba (bottle), apple, bounce, baa 🐑 , and some others. He also does pretend talk to fill in words he doesn’t know. My first son had delays and they kept telling me to wait longer. Theres no harm in early intervention so I now recommend that to anyone. If he’s too advanced he just won’t qualify.
