Three hour glucose test
Had my three hour glucose test today (Merry Christmas Eve!) and threw up after she took the second vital of blood. Naturally was sent home and told to call my doctor. Dreading having to retake it if that’s what the OB thinks is best. I’m feeling absolutely defeated from this whole process and I can’t help but blame myself. Did anyone else throw up during their testing?

I’m so sorry to hear that this all happened 😩 I also took mine on Christmas Eve as well!! Thought it was a good idea to “get it over with” since all they had available was that morning or today real early (who wants to fast on Christmas?) Omg it was miserable. I didn’t throw up but they let me go sit in my car between each hour. I was able to curl up and rest in the back seats. I just got the results and thankfully passed but it was tough! My arms are still bruised terribly from the constant pricking in the same spots 😩

Ask your dr to just do your fasting glucose instead. One of my friends after throwing up like you, was told by the doctor to just do the fasting glucose, no drink. I also just had mine last week but luckily i didnt throw up and honestly it was so pointless for me bc my levels were so low.
