I stopped working at 30 weeks, I was in alot of physical pain and my job became dangerous for me working in healthcare. I delivered at 33 weeks so I had a little time to relax and get everything set up to have the girls
Thank you both. Unfortunately, I am unable to WFH which is what is making me slightly nervous about commuting every day!
I didn't get maternity leave because we knew we weren't going to be able to afford childcare for twins so I worked until I physically couldn't anymore and then quit, that was 33w4d I believe and then I went into labor on my own at 36 weeks exactly and delivered at 36w1d so I got about 2.5 weeks off before delivering and it was very very nice 🩷
I went on mat leave 2 weeks before my planned C-section. I wish I had went off earlier though because the last 2 weeks at home I was so uncomfortable I couldn’t sleep properly so didn’t get a chance to actually enjoy the time off. I did use a few sick days and put it down to pregnancy related issues (I had a bad back) so it didn’t go on my sickness record
I’ll be 26 week Wednesday. According to my OB I’ll be going on maternity leave better 28-32 weeks due to the demand of my job and he doesn’t want me pushing myself but they are waiting on me to let them know when I’m ready
I’ve got mcda twins and my OB said they didn’t want me working past 30-32weeks. I’ve got a desk job. I’ve put in for 32week finish but doing a gentle slow down by reducing my hours in 30 and 31 weeks.
I started Mat leave at 30 weeks I was unable to work from home and driving was becoming difficult and my exhaustion could not get me through most days! Originally planned to work up until 34 weeks x

I have 3 month old twins and I started my mat leave just before 35 weeks and mine arrived at 37 as planned but I requested to work from home (with a fit note from my consultant in support) from 30 weeks as I was in agony 😂 depending on what you do for work you could request the same?
