Benefits / UC / gov may pay - Uk/ Eng

In Britain I work full time usually and know my company does not offer any additional benefits. Is anyone able to confirm what they receive in benefits. I will look into this soon myself anyway but a heads up would be great. I’m trying to work out what time I’m able to take off as I’m a FTM and hoped to have as long as possible with baby! TIA

*government maternity pay

The government website has a benefits calculator. You enter both yours and dads (if living together salaries etc and it tells you what you are entitled to and how to claim

Yeah turns out I only would be entitled to child benefit and mat pay! :) no company pay and no further benefits due to my partners income. Thanks tho for your info :)

@Naomi not sure if I used the right calculator but it took me over an hour 😂and I still don’t think I did it correctly! I’m not the brightest bulb in the shed! X

The government website is not the easiest to use! If one salary is fairly high then unfortunately it does mean you won’t be eligible for much.

@Naomi yeah not easy for me anyway! Haha! Yeah I presumed as much but wanted to check just in case :)! Thanks for you help though x

@Naomi this is why we have been saving up haha! 😂x
