Yes as above, but nothing from the company you worked for as you've left the role x
Mat allowance from government - it was about £176 a week but will probably be a bit more come April x
Yeah that's right I started a job and then a week later found out that I was pregnant so I didn't qualify to get maternity pay from my employer but I'm currently clamining from the government, apply online then they send you forms to fill in send them back and they will send you another form if you've been accepted which I'm sure you will be then you can state when you'd like your maternity pay to start. My first payment is on the 20th and it's around £750 every 4 weeks
You'll get the statutory maternity pay from the government. But nothing from your employer if that's what you're asking
If you are more than 25 weeks pregnant before you left the job, then they should still have to pay you SMP. You can speak to maternity action helpline for advice if you are around 25 weeks pregnant (as it’s to do with the qualifying period). If you are less than 25 weeks pregnant, then mat allowance per other comments, and you can apply for it from week 28ish
Speak to citizens advice, they will know more and can help you. Even if you were to speak to your midwife as well they can help you apply for whatever you need
I think you have to work at least 12 months into the job. With me I started a new job and after 3 months of that job I found out I was pregnant so with that 9 months plus the 3 months I qualified mat pay leave
Yes maternity allowance, there’s a calculator on the gov website!
