Going Back to Work

Anyone else going back soon? I go back in 3 weeks and really nervous about it! My husband will be home with the baby though as he has 6 months of leave, which I am grateful for! How are you feeling about returning to work?

Feeling really sad about it. This was our last baby - we now have two sweet boys & it feels sad knowing this is the last couple weeks of maternity leave. I work from home & my husband will be starting the remainder of his leave for the next 3 months which helps. But to not be able to relax and snuggle with contact naps & be there for all his needs is making me really down. I’m grateful for my situation but still …

@Kassandra I feel exactly the same as far as not being able to be here for all baby’s needs. We will get through it but the first few weeks will likely be tough!

Aww we are in a very similar situation. I go back to work after 1weeks. I really do feel nervous but I try not to think about it and enjoy my time with my little one. My husband doesn’t have a leave but he works from home that’s how he will watch her it’s going to be interesting but hoping for the besttt 🤞🏽

@May he will do great!

I go back 2/3 and my daughter will go to daycare with her brother (2.5 years old). We both work from home but we would not be able to keep either kid home just due to what we do. I am sad to go back but I am also excited to get back into my own routine. I will miss the snuggles, but I think it will be good to go back. I am nervous about her going to daycare but I know my son loved it.

@Andria my husband and I are the same situation - we both WFH but I agree there no way to do both. Our oldest is also 2yrs 9mos and he loves going to “school” every day. Our littlest little will go at around 6 months of age. I wish we could have them home with us but there’s no way to be productive at work and meet their needs adequately. But also feels weird to be home and them not be.

I had to return to work after 6 weeks. I have a good support system but was anxious. And calling my cousin every hour for an update. Call when you need to talk to baby or even just see him. Take a break and cry if you need to. Everything that you're feeling is completely normal. I've been back to work for almost 3 weeks. It gets easier but you're always gonna worry for your baby

Yes my little one will go to daycare too I go back in 3 weeks & it's like time is flying but it will be good cause my son loves it.

I run my own business and kind of already did some projects. I’ve been talking to clients since the beginning- but yes going back Feb 1. In excited I need normalcy I am a super active person with a very socially interactive job and I was going nuts

I return at the end of the month and I’m having meltdowns about it 😭 my husband works too and we don’t have any family near by so we have to put her in daycare and that is the hardest part for me. If we had family near by to babysit I’d be more okay with it but I just don’t like having to give her off to some stranger

I have two more weeks and yes, I'm getting nervous! My baby suddenly is refusing a bottle, so my husband hasn't been able to have him longer than an hour. My husband started working nights so he can have baby during the day. I will literally hand baby off to him when he comes home and I go to work.
