So I will say it is very hard! My MIL comes over when I’m working from home for wake-up til naptime so I can concentrate. But I do have to do it alone when she’s not available. We rotate toys so that he has something “new” and exciting to play with. Sensory toys / games! Like right now’ we have a ton of snow. I got a bowl of snow and added some other bowls / water toys - makes a mess but kept him entertained for an hour. When it’s warm we hang out outside in the back yard with outdoor toys. I always work during his lunches / snacks. And I eat mine entertaining him. if i have a call/ meeting I do rely on Mrs Rachel or Bluey. Luckily they’re usually no more than an hour - 2 hours MAX if I do that day. But it’s almost the only way to guarantee he won’t interrupt it. I try hard to limit it but sometimes it’s impossible. But then we do almost no screen time after work hours / on weekend
I’ve been working from home w kids since Covid. Best tips - change scenery when you can. Even half hour being in my room instead of the living room is an adventure to him. Try to keep the tv off as long as possible so it’s more of a treat. Before you start work try to be as one on one as possible so they start w the attention.
It is not easy! I have been working from home with my 16 month old since maternity leave ended. My advice is to keep him active. Stay on schedule with nap time and a lot of prayer.
@Bevin I was just really blessed with a friend that recommended me, cause I was a sah with no income before, and then miraculously I got this job. Send me your CV though! The company I work for will be expanding in February and we will need some Virtual assistants maybe you are a good fit for them! Laura.osorio98@outlook.com
@Bevin I work remotely for a property management company as an Accountant Analyst. Let me know if this interests you
@Kelsey omg I’m interested!
I WFH with my baby and it’s definitely not easy. Especially now that she’s into everything. She sleeps in later and takes a good nap during the day, which really helps me. We have a schedule during the day that I try to keep. I let her watch a little TV and have all of her toys laid out for her.
I don’t have any advice but I have a question if you’re willing to answer! My daughter just started daycare and I’m looking for a job. How did you find a work from home job? 🥲
