@Jenna I was but I got the job offer before I found out I was pregnant I didn’t know I was when I accepted it, so does that mean I won’t get it
@Jenna I don’t do maths ahaha the calculator thing just asks me to put in dates of when I started but then asks if I been working bla bla and that’s when I get confused with numbers
@Jess yeah I afraid you’ve got really unlucky with timings, it will only count from the day you signed your contract. It’s really annoying I know x
@Jenna tbh I’m not really bothered about it aha I just care more about my mental health as that’s what I’m struggling with and my back which is why I’m asking cause then I can leave and just rest xx thank you
Usually you have to be employed with the company for 6 months before you qualify I think
You’ve got to be with a company (most anyway) a certain amount of time before you can be entitled to it, usually it’s 26 weeks I think x
@Kati Yh that would be July, and then I’m due August that’s why I’m asking cause one min says I am next says I’m not lol xx
You have to have been with your employer for the 26 weeks up to and including your reference week (ref week = 15 weeks prior to your expected week of childbirth).
You should be able to get maternity allowance from government once baby arrives it’s £176 a week roughly
For a March baby, the qualifying period is Oct/Nov for SMP. I know this as I took a year off unpaid and didn't earn enough myself, so no SMP for this baby. Xx
Were you pregnant when you started your new job? If you were you won’t be eligible I’m afraid, only maternity allowance. If you got pregnant after you started and you’re earning over £183 (pretty sure) a week then you’ll be eligible
