The first year and a half I washed his stuff with baby detergent. Now I just use regular tide but I still do his stuff in its own load.
We don't use baby detergent because what we already use (earth breeze detergent sheets) is unscented/sensitive and free of any parabens/phthalates/yada yada yada. Makes it easier to just run the washer when it's full with everything together instead of having to do things separately / wait for a full load of tiny baby clothes
I have a newborn, 2.5 yo, 5yo, plus myself and my husband. There is too much washing to not do everything together!
Same load I use sensitive skin detergent . I will do different loads if I have baby detergent but if not it doesn’t make much of difference. When newborn comes I may do both of theirs as one load. *The one I use is Arm Hammer sensitive skin it’s always a good deal at Walmart
Same load, use sensitive skin detergent for the first year or two .
With our first we washed separately and used that special baby ivory detergent then switched to adding it with our clothes. My skin is so sensitive that we always use detergent without scent anyways and don't use fabric softener for that reason. So we just added baby #2's clothes with ours after she was born.
I use non bio for everything
When they were newborns I did separate with different detergent as they were both very sensitive especially my son, now they are older I just do it all together with the same detergent. I do a dark load and a light load... I used to wash towels separately and everything but now because there's so much I just get it all done 😂
Separate loads same detergent - I find it silly to buy a separate detergent when we can just use fairy non bio for everyone? But the reason I separate loads is simply to make it easier to sort after and put in drawers
I just use the same thing I use for myself and do it all in one. I’ve never used anything different.
Non bio detergent and comfort pure fabric softener on everything x
Separate loads because it’s easier when the clothes are already sorted by which room they go in. We pay to get our laundry washed and folded. Same detergent we all use a clean one.
I used to use baby detergent when my son was an infant and I used the same baby detergent for the rest of our clothes so we didn’t have to buy two separate detergents. And with spit up and breastmilk /formula on our clothes also, the baby detergent took care of that too with the special enzymes or whatever that’s in baby detergent. I’ve always washed separate loads though bc his little clothes get lost in our clothes and I need to be able to access his stuff fast if I haven’t had a chance to fold anything.
As a baby, 100% separate and with separate soap. I know they say baby’s on your clothes anyway, but mine wasn’t really lol. Burp cloths exist for this reason

It depends! When he was NB I’d wash his stuff separately. Now he’s 6mo I’ll wash our stuff together if it’s like T-shirts and things me and my partner wore once or twice (no stains etc) but it if I am washing my partners work clothes, or if wash basket is full and I need to divide loads I’ll do separate laundry and put LOs stuff aside and wait for it to build up enough for a separate as he has loads of bits anyway x
Different loads but same detergent. I don’t mix different levels of dirty lol
Yes, we combine laundry. But none of us wear fragranced deodorant, perfume, body products so on. We use Attitude’s detergent and Miss Messy Mouth’s stain spray. You can find nontoxic products on EWG’s app. A lot of the “baby detergents” are actually pretty toxic … like Dreft rates terribly
I use baby detergent for everything
@Miche I use those too and I love them.
My son has eczema so we all use the same detergent for everything except for my husbands whites ( his work shirts) They're washed separately with a different detergent.
Different currently but only because we use fabric softener on our stuff and his skin’s still a bit too sensitive
