Is it illegal in the uk to lock a child In there bedroom at night for safety reasons . I would never do this in the day or as a punishment . But I am very scared for my daughter's safety and ours . My daughter who is 5 has adhd and I think autism . She is very impulsive and will do things to take risks . Recently h...

When did you get a ‘mom cut’?

And was it because of tiny grabby baby hands or just because you wanted shorter hair?

3 month old

Hi guys, I have a 3 month old baby girl, she has 4 bottles around 120-180 ml in 24 hours. She feeds every 4 hours during day time however at 7pm is when she has her final bottle for the night and sleep until 7 am the next morning. Is this normal?? Should I be worried?

Travelling

I go away next week and my little girl won’t drink her milk unless it’s warm (won’t drink at room temp) has anyone ever had to fly and heat a bottle just wondering whether it’s something I could do on the plane if they would give boiling water to put the bottle in? As it’s a 5 hour flight so if she needed a bottle i...

Newborn rarely sleeping

Anyone else’s newborn rarely sleeping? My LO, who is nearly 4 weeks, does a handful of 20/30 minute naps recently - maybe one 1+ hour nap during the day. And they do one long 4 hour stretch at night and that’s it!! I thought newborns were supposed to sleep 16+ hours.😩

Umbilical hernia

So my son is now one month and a few weeks old, and he has this swollen, literally a balloon belly button. I did my research and found out it’s called umbilical hernia, that is due to muscles not being closed at birth, and it gets worse with crying, coughing or yawning. My baby cries a lottt, like a lot. So overt...

Struggling

My baby was born on Thursday evening and we got home today, she has hardly settled since being home and will not sleep in the Moses basket at all. I’m struggling with breastfeeding as it’s hurting so much so she’s been having a few syringes of colostrum in between. We’ve been burping her, trying to feed, rocking he...

Health anxiety

Hoping for some advice from anybody that’s suffered with this and how you dealt with it. My anxiety in general has been quite high lately and my thoughts about illness etc spiral, mainly about my child and myself and recently my mum also. It’s torture, dreading the worst and worrying about the future. I’ve been to m...

Bedtime routine

So, my little boy has been in a routine of going to bed at 9pm for a while now. I’ve been going up at 9, getting him sorted and sticking the tv on. This has worked well but now I think he’s ready to go to bed earlier and I wondered how everyone navigates this. I’ve spoken to my mum and she says to just take him up a...

I don’t know what to do. Please help. No meds!!! I’m 39 weeks, I’ve had my membranes swept twice. Most recently just Wednesday. I’ve been stuck at 2cm with mild contractions for a week. I’ve eaten the dates, drank the pineapple juice, did the squats, lunges, curbwalks, nipple stimulating, pumping, intercourse, baths...

Feeling guilty

I keep letting my friend down because of my baby and I feel bad. Not sure how to reassure her or make it up to her. We’ve been friends for over 15 years and I will be a bridesmaid at her wedding in 2 weeks time, the only non-family member. She doesnt have many friends, maybe 2 or 3 and I am her best friend. But she...

Carseat

How many of you are actually leaving the car seat in the center of the backseat? I know its a safer option but what about multiple kids? Pets? I find it wildly inconvenient. Incognito for the hate Ill probably receive. Yes, I want my child to be safe but how much safer is it really? Its not like we’re doing road trips…

Breastfeeding to bottle

Hiya, any advice on introducing a bottle to baby’s feed regime? My baby is 9 weeks and EBF although I have been trying to introduce a bottle since 6 weeks so that I can have a break in the evening when my partner is home.
