Doesn’t quite look like baby acne. Is he acting like he’s in pain? And is he breathing normally? Any fever or other symptoms? Does it feel hot to the touch?

The forehead looks like b as by acne but the cheek looks more like a rash. Full disclosure: I’m also a first time mom but from everything I’ve read/seen about baby acne (which my daughter is currently experiencing), I would ask the pediatrician about the cheeks. Best of luck, fellow new mama!

my baby has the same thing going on its not as much but its there 😭 he has his 1 month appointment in a couple days so I been tryna see what goes on with it but it's stressing me out but it doesn't seem to bother him at all

@Laurel I put Aquaphor on it and I think it relieved some of the irritation. It’s warm to the touch. No fever or other symptoms. I feel like I can’t think about anything else!

It looks a little like when my first baby had cradle cap on his forehead/cheeks. Could it be that??

That’s pretty severe for acne, almost looks like eczema. Definitely get him checked out though just to be safe it isn’t something more serious or an allergic reaction to something.

@Laura I would definitely go to the doctor soon! Especially if it’s warmer than the rest of his skin.

Looks like eczema.

try jojoba oil. it mimics the skins sebum and helps protect it while absorbing really well.

Looks just like how my baby started! I say reach out to doc but also order the mustela I believe it worked wonders !

My baby was like that a week ago, I used breast milk and it dried off very fast.

Thank you guys!!! I appreciate the very fast responses

And breast milk always helps it's just cells in the breast milk that will fight of the bacteria

My baby was like that. And she just went for her one month and I was told it's eczema and told to put Aquaphor on it everytimr I change her diaper.

Do you breastfeed? If so spray breastmilk straight on it it clears up acne and eczema helps with rashes to

Idk what kind of hormone sensitivity these babies have now but experiencing the same thing with my baby. Only difference is my baby had crater looking spots with a darker center. It got worse before it got better. Pediatrician said it was just severe baby acne with maybe some eczema too but it looked so severe and one of the worse she’d seen that it bought him a referral to derm 🥴. Still waiting on that appt and it’ll be gone before we probably get in lol. Like @Courtney said, I went out on a limb and purchased the mustela water and idk if it was time (had been about 5 days) or that stuff actually does miracles 😂…but the next day it started drying up and the darker spots peeling off. To my surprise, no indentations underneath…just skin! We got a steroid cream from my doc too but it’s looking soo much better now.

Also, the mustela is a little costly for the one bottle but Amazon has a newborn kit that includes the water plus some other products that could be of use (including a cradle cap product that I plan to use). If it works magic like the water, I might just start using the mustela on my adult skin too 😂

@Cinquá literally was thinking the same thing for my skin hahaha
