I tied it up and by 12 Mo my son understands not to pull it.
Mine was almost waist length - I cut it into a bob cos I didn’t have the time for washing it etc. don’t regret my decision at all! Growing it out now. Almost 2 years x
@Fay this too! taking care of it is much harder
When I had my first I went back to my natural colour from blonde and did a good 12in chop just before I had her. One set of maternity pictures had my long blonde hair the next to my short brown hair lol then after my second I waited until she was about nine months old to cut my hair. It was waist length I cut 16in and it was only because it was super damaged
When she was almost 8 months
I love having short hair but doing it postpartum was the worst idea ever, because then you can’t tie it back and it’s constantly hanging down for grabby hands to yank on!!
@KayLee u should do it!! Yes I hate having hair im used to always having it short but I grew it out for over a year and I was sooo over it. I hated doing it everyday but my husband loved it long so I told him if he wants me to keep it he has to do it everyday well that lasted 2 days 🤣 im thinking of cutting it even shorter
i cut mine sometime around 6 months. my hair is very curly and requires a lot of time and i was just so over it lol. now i regret cutting it and am growing it back out but its so much thinner 😭
I did when my baby was 8 weeks old because I have very thick curls hair and I just couldn't cope with it, I don't like wearing it up because it pulls on the strands and gives me a headache but it kept falling in my face, his face, getting tangled in his hands, smothering my neck and I was just over it 🤣
Because I was loosing too much hair and was easier to maintain
Never ! I just have it in a claw clip 90% of the time x
Chopped mine to a pixie at 6 months because of really bad postpartum & thyroid hair loss due to postpartum hormone fluctuations. I loved how it looked, but it didn't feel "me." It's been a long process growing it back out. I don't like the length it is now, and I'm about to have my second soon. I'm definitely going to try to avoid the big chop again and just try to get some bangs to cover up some of the bald spots. It's barely long enough at the moment to get into a tiny ponytail for a half up half down situation.
I have a mom bun. 😂 I should probably start wearing my hair down again but I’m tired.
I cut mine just before my son was born. That was almost 2 years ago. I still don’t know why I did it

my hair was just so knotted I just snipped it off 😭
Never. I love my long hair. I swipe it to the side I’m not holding baby on, or my hair was up or in a plait or braid. When I go out at nights though it’s down and in a nice blowout or sleeked half up w gel. Or I do overnight rollers for heatless curls. Claw clip doesn’t pull on it. The grabby stage doesn’t last long anyway.
I had a pixie hair cut right before I got pregnant grew it out with three babies back to back and ready to cut it because my hair is brittle and falls off easily. When my youngest pulls it, it falls off easily. It breaks easily. I don’t have much hair anymore anyway. Should I shave it off and get a pixie cut wig?
I cut my hair short 3 years ago and loved it but I missed my long hair every day and have been growing it back out since. It’s finally at a nice length but my 6 week old’s grabby hands are already making me want to cut it again🤣 help
